For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (“the Act“), the data controller is Barbarus Limited of Epsilon House, West Road, Ipswich, IP3 9FJ registered in England and Wales under Company Number 08693210.
When using our site, you must comply with the provisions of our Acceptable Use Policy.
1 Information we may collect from you
1.1 We may collect and process the following data about you:
1.1.1 Information that you provide by filling in forms on the website www.procycleinsurance.co.uk (“our site”). This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our site, subscribing to our products and services, posting further material or requesting further products or services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our site.
1.1.2 If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
1.1.3 We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
1.1.4 We may keep a record of enquiries you make through our site for the fulfilment of our service to you.
1.1.5 Details of your visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.
1.2 We will treat all your personal data as confidential, although we reserve the right to disclose this information in the circumstances set out below. We will keep it on a secure server and we will adhere to applicable data protection legislation which is from time to time in place.
1.3 When you access our site, we will ask you to input and will collect personal data from you relevant to the purpose of processing your request for an insurance quote and any subsequent issuing of insurance cover, we will only request data adequate for us and/or our insurers to determine the cover we or our insurers may offer this may include but is not limited to your name, contact details and previous insurance history. We, or our third party providers, may also collect information about where you are on the internet (e.g. the URL you came from, IP address, domain types like .co.uk and .com), your browser type, the country and telephone area code where your computer is located, the pages of our site that you viewed during your visit, the advertisements you clicked on, and any search terms that you entered on our site (“User Information”). We may collect User Information even if you do not register with us.
1.4 You should be aware that our site is being monitored and may capture information about your visit that will help us improve the quality of our service.
1.5 We confirm that any personal data which you provide to us, any personal data available on public registers and any User Information from which we can identify you, is held in accordance with the Act and any other relevant data protection legislation which is from time to time in place.
1.6 You should be aware that if we are required by law, by any governmental or other regulatory authority, or by a court or other authority of competent jurisdiction, to disclose your personal data we are entitled to do so.
1.7 Other than the disclosures referred to in this policy, we will not disclose any personal information without your permission unless we are obliged to do so under law.
2 IP addresses
We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

4 Where we store your personal data
4.2 Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

You may unsubscribe from our contact list at any time by replying to a promotional e-mail with the word “unsubscribe” in the subject line, by e-mailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org or telephoning us on 01722 597988.
5.5 We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to our advertisers, but we may provide them with aggregate information about our users (for example, we may inform them that 500 men aged under 30 have clicked on their advertisement on any given day). We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target (for example, women in SW1). We may make use of the personal data we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers’ wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience.
6 Disclosure of your information
6.1 We may disclose your personal information to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006.
6.2 We may disclose your personal information to third parties:

We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data. 8 Access to information
The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
